

Register now at www.legion.org/riders, and prepare for 1,500 miles of fellowship with more than 300 riders riding for the children of America's fallen heroes. The American Legion Legacy Run, now in its eighth year, has raised more than $3.5M for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship, and is sponsored by USAA, San Antonio, Texas. The Legacy Run begins with training, final registration, checkins and Road Captain briefings on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at American Legion Post 64, 601 S. Holt Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. After a welcoming dinner the evening of August 17, hosted by The American Legion National Commander and the Indiana American Legion Riders, the Run begins early morning on Sunday, August 18th, 2013 with breakfast at Post 64 at 6:00 a.m. and kick-stands up at 8:00 a.m.
DAY ONE (Sunday, August 18): Indianapolis to Rolla, Missouri
DAY TWO (Monday, August 19): Rolla to Muskogee, Oklahoma
DAY THREE (Tuesday, August 20): Muskokee to Stephenville, Texas
DAY FOUR (Wednesday, August 21): Stephenville to Seguin, Texas along The American Legion Memorial Highway-US281. On this day The Legacy Run will pay special honors to wounded warriors at Fort Hood, Texas and at the USAA corporate headquarters campus in San Antonio, where wounded and recovering servicmen and women from Brooks Army Medical Center will be on hand to share fellowship with the Run participants.
DAY FIVE (Thursday, August 22) Final day and a run from Seguin to League City (Houston) Texas and a welcoming event hosted by the League City American Legion Riders.
Stick around! Texas American Legion Riders have several days of fun events and day rides planned for all riders. The American Legion Riders National Program Office will hold a national riders meeting for all interested ALR members, and on Sunday, August 25, the Riders will lead off the 95th American Legion National Convention Parade. Many will also stay in the area for The American Legion National Convention and take advantage of free admission to the vendors areas and The National Flag and Emblem Sales store.
