The 53 contestants competing in the 74th American Legion National Oratorical High School Contest will arrive Friday to the University Place Conference Center and Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. Each contestant will take part in the semifinals on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. (EDT), with the top nine moving on to the quarterfinals at 3:45 p.m. From the quarterfinals, three competitors will advance to Sunday's championship finals for a chance to win first place and an $18,000 scholarship.
