Veterans seeking the latest information on health care available to them now have a spot on The American Legion's website to turn to for that information. The Health Care Center [2] features breaking news on Department of Veterans Affairs' health care, a step-by-step guide on how to enroll in the VA health-care system, and information on conditions such as traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, military sexual trauma, and polytrauma.
The site also contains a link to the Legion's System Worth Saving page [3], which explains the mission of the System Worth Saving program and provides information on the task force members. Also included on the page is a map that shows the different System Worth Saving visits this year and feedback from some VA patients on the care they receive. Late in the visitation cycle, Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation staff began collecting information on VA patients; as the visits begin next year, patient interviews will be collected from each visit and loaded onto the map.
