Rural health page now online
The American Legion - June 13, 2012
[1]

The American Legion's Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation Division, working with the Department of Veterans Affairs' Office of Rural Health to develop a Rural Veterans Health Care page [2] on www.legion.org [3].

From October 2011 to May 2012, The American Legion's System Worth Saving program focused on challenges veterans living in rural areas face with receiving VA health care. On the Rural Health page, users can download the System Worth Saving rural health report's findings and recommendations, rural veteran statistics, and information on VA's rural health programs and initiatives.

For more information or questions regarding veteran rural healthcare programs, please contact the VA&R division via email [4].
