The Rider Guide and Run Plan [2] for the 2012 American Legion Legacy Run Home National Commander's Ride is now available online.

The guide features a detailed route plan for the Aug. 21-23 ride, including gas stops and visits to Legion posts. The guide also features tips on group riding, riding under police escort, group refueling, ride communication and safety.

Online registration [3] for the National Commander's Ride, as well as the American Legion Riders Expo [4] in Indianapolis Aug. 23-25, is ongoing. The Expo will include a candlelight tribute to Legacy Scholarship recipients, a night ride in Indianapolis, Rider skill training and Chapter Riding Challenge, tips for managing a successful Riders program and many other events.

Registration for the National Commander's Ride is $50 and includes admission to The American Legion Riders Expo. Registration for the Expo only, and for Ride passengers, is $25.
