Recent visitors to the home page of The American Legion Magazine [2] have probably noticed something new. Beginning with the August 2012 issue, audio recordings of most sections and features are now accessible for download on the page, in addition to the usual text forms – both free of charge.

The Legion has a relationship with the American Printing House for the Blind in Louisville, Ky., under which most of each month's magazine is read aloud and recorded. CDs with the recordings are then sent to blind subscribers on a list kept by the Legion. This service is free to members.
