Jerick Johnson talks Legion Racing

Eleven races into the ARCA 2010 series, American Legion/David Law Firm 76 Freedom Car driver Jerick Johnson sits atop the Hard Charger category and 16th in series Championship points. Not bad for his first season in the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards.

Johnson is no stranger to oval tracks. He has multiple championships at Mizzou Speedway and the AMCO Racing Series. He was 2009 the Rookie of the Year and finished ninth in championship points in the ASA Late Model Series.

While The American Legion has sponsored Johnson and the Team Johnson Motor Sports car for five years, the driver still encounters Legionnaires across the country that are unaware that the Legion is a race car sponsor and how the relationship works.

Prior to the July 10 race at Iowa Speedway near Des Moines, Johnson sat down to chat a little bit about racing in general, report on his success in the 2010 ARCA Series, and to detail how the Legion Racing program is structured.

Johnson is not just a driver for The American Legion/David Law Firm 76 Freedom Car; he and his family are members of the Legion, the Legion Auxiliary or Sons of The American Legion.
