


Thirty high school students from across the nation have been firing air rifles at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., for the 22nd annual American Legion Junior 3-Position Air Rifle National Championship. See today's results here.
During the event, 15 competitors will shoot in both the precision and sporter category with a .177 caliber air rifle in three positions: standing, kneeling and prone. And the top eight shooters in each category will advance to the championship finals on Aug. 11.
One competitor will win the championship title in their respective category along with a $2,500 college scholarship donated by the Sons of The American Legion. See who is competing in the precision and sporter category here.
