California Sons support Helmet for Heroes program

The Sons of the American Legion in California are championing the Helmets For Heroes program that raises money for the department's Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation (VA&R) Division.

Bill Bryant from Placerville Squadron 119 has a simple philosophy when it comes to fundraising: “Just ask.” He has hundreds of “helmets” out around where he lives. Patrons of businesses can drop their spare change directly into the helmet piggy bank and that money raised goes directly to VA&R.

The slogan for this project is “Major Change," and boy is it making a HUGE difference for VA&R.
