My father served from 1941 to 1975 in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. I served during Vietnam for seven years and my son will retire in August from 20 years, including Afghanistan. My father flew the first U.S. mission in World War II from England with the 8 Air Force and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery along with my mother. They were married for 62 years.
