While the majority of veteran lineage is male, my family differs. My daughter, my granddaughter and myself honor our veteran name.
I am a Vietnam-era Army WAC veteran. My daughter and her daughter are Navy veterans. I am a past junior and senior vice officers, serving 2 years each, at Post 305 in Caledonia, Mich. My daughter was a two-term junior vice during my two terms as senior vice. During this time, my husband was on the e-board and our daughter’s husband was the SAL commander. At one time, my husband, our son, daughter, granddaughter and myself were all veteran members.
We are mother, father, son, daughter and granddaughter, all veterans, serving The American Legion.
