During the Volunteer Recognition Day at Camp Casey, Korea on April 14, 2023, William D. Beatty, second vice commander/service officer of Lewis L. Millett American Legion Post 38, was recognized. Beatty was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Command Group of the U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan-Casey, South Korea. Beatty received the certificate for his work with widows in obtaining their benefits and assisting them in their taxes. He also assisted the veterans and military retirees in the Camp Casey area with veterans benefits, Social Security, Tricare issues and an array of issues. Through Beatty’s volunteer work, he has enhanced the quality of life for the widows, veterans and military retirees in the Camp Casey community.
