I had been a member of American Legion Post 4 for about 12 years. In the fall of 2002 I was sitting in a regular Legion meeting, when I asked our commander if I could look through his Emblems Sales Catalog, he said yes.

I came across the Legion Riders Patch, I told a fellow vet setting next to me, I want one of these, we went to work on a chapter, the spring of 2003 on my birthday we were a bonafide Post 4 Pocatello, Idaho, American Legion Riders Chapter.

We had our ups and downs at first, I had a motorcycle ride in support of other groups. Eventually, I passed the group on, and we have a director that has molded our group and the state of Idaho Legion Riders into a great group.

With the charities we do, raise money for the Legacy Run, night security for the, Field of Heroes, POW - MIA Rally , Aid for Friends “Homeless Encampment”, Escorts of returning military personal.

Our fun rides together as a group, and with fellow Legion Riders from other posts.
