American Legion coordiates veterans bus donation

The Paramus Veterans Memorial Home received a new bus for its 300 residents. Giulia Kirsch, supervisor of recreation (center left), accepts the keys from Bob Salvini, Bergen County American Legion commander, with Steven Ferrari, director of veterans healthcare services (far left), and Raymond Zawacki, deputy commissioner, New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (far right). The Bergen County veterans service organizations and individuals, a total of 116 donors, joined together to raise the more than $80,000 for the handicapped-accessible bus that can accommodate eight wheelchairs.
