As a Vietnam vet (1966/67), I have to admit I choked up when I saw the info from the Legion that there is now a Vietnam Veterans Day. Let's all remember the names on the Wall, on this day and forever. As they are the heroes!
Since my wife and I own a sign company, we decided it would be a good idea to put up a banner in our window to let everyone know about this day.
I might add that we have always offered the family of any returning war vet a free Welcome Home banner. We have offered that for many years, and it is difficult to describe how the families react when they pick up the banner. It is a small thing, but it works.
