Black History Museum Managed By Veterans

The Black History Museum of Warren County Tennessee opened it's doors in February, 2021 and the management and oversight of the museum has an undeniable "American Legion" presence. The Director/Curator of the museum is the Commander of Post #208. The Board of Directors consists of many American Legion members to include the President of the Board.

A highlight of the museum is the "Military Room" which honors citizens of the county that have served our country. There are numerous photos, biographies and uniforms donated by past service members that adorn the room.

The museum is a focal point of the county's tourism efforts and wouldn't have been possible without the monetary donations and leadership provided by Legion members.

We would welcome an article in The American Legion Magazine highlighting American Legion members who are giving back to the community.

Thank you.
