Legion Family and local patriotic family

(El Centro, CA - 19 February, 2020) This past year, the Imperial Valley Patriotic Planning Committee (IVPPC) became an official nonprofit, provided nearly 3,000 small flags and purchased many patriotic youth materials to provide to the local youth and adults.
Junior Past Department of California Area 5 Commander Tracy Rascoe and El Centro City Council member Jason Jackson (co-founders), lead the group as president and vice president. According to Jackson, "We were able to sell almost 400 plates and are pleased by the support of the community. Many agree with the importance and need to enhance wholesome patriotism - especially in our youth!"
Rascoe said, "Last year, we purchased and provided nearly 3,000 small flags within the community. The patriotic materials have all come from Emblem Sales, and we are determined to continue to share this and more materials with our children and local school systems. Our most recent order included +1,000 small flags to provide to the public for the upcoming AV Vietnam Moving Wall visit, which will be here in El Centro from March 26 to March 30."
"Although some have not served and don't qualify to join us or any VSO, the IVPPC has become a family too. This group has become another method to better educate and inform the community about The American Legion and our Pillars, which also helps increase the community participation and support," said Rascoe.
