Legion, Soldier’s Wish headed to New York City

American Legion staff will be in New York City on June 25 to take part in HISTORY channel’s event, joining up with Soldier’s Wish representatives to spread the word about the two organizations and their relationship.

HISTORY’s NYC Event will take place from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at the north end of Union Square Park on the corner of 17th Street and Park Avenue South. HISTORY’s Cross-Country Cookout – featuring Trace "The Rib Whisperer" Arnold and his 80–foot Ultimate Smoker and Grill – also will be on hand. The event is open to the public.

Legion staff will be available to answer questions about the organization and pass out Legion brochures. The Legion and Soldier’s Wish have teamed up with HISTORY at previous Salute and Serve events in Charlotte, N.C., and Nashville, Tenn. Future Legion/Soldier’s Wish/HISTORY events are scheduled through the end the summer (see below).
