SHELBY, N.C.—
Midland (Mich.) Berryhill Post 165 pounded out 15 hits and plated a combined nine runs in the fourth and fifth innings of a 12-1 win against Cromwell (Conn.) Post 105. The game was shorted to seven innings because of the 10-run rule.

Cole Brooks homered and had three other hits, driving in two runs for Midland (47-6). Ty Jones added two hits and drove in three runs, while Derrek Clyde also had two RBIs. Caleb Sommerville allowed six hits and one earned run over seven innings.

Cole Ogorzalek drove in the only run for Cromwell (37-5).
