Legion weighs in on women veterans issues

Denise Williams, The American Legion's assistant director for health policy, recently attended the Department of Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee for Women Veterans meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to address the needs of women veterans with respect to health care, rehabilitation, compensation, outreach and other programs.

The American Legion will continue to maintain a presence at the VA Advisory Committee for Women Veterans meetings to keep abreast of all initiatives and updates that pertains to women veterans.
