Legion attends 'Time Out For Veteran's Health'

The American Legion's Washington office staff participated on Nov. 9 in "Time Out For Veteran's Health" - a free health concerns event for veterans conducted at FedExField. More than 900 veterans and their families attended and received information about more effectively managing their health. Veterans could receive a free comprehensive health screening that tested for a number of ailments. All attendees were allowed to tour the stadium and Washington Redskins' locker room.

The American Legion participated for the second time. Through the efforts of Deputy Director Joe Wilson, a VA Veteran's Mobile Health Clinic was added to the event.

Legion staff joined other veterans service organizations in attendance, along with the Redskins cheerleaders and former Washington quarterback Joe Theismann.
