The American Legion will host its sixth annual Small Business Training Workshop in Minneapolis on Aug. 30 and 31, during the 93rd National Convention.
One of the most common questions we're asked as veteran-business counselors is, "What benefits are out there for veterans who are business owners?" Well, this is one of the biggest benefits available, and if you're interested in learning what others are out there for you, come to this event and bring lots of business cards.Some of the subjects we'll be covering are government contracting, teaming and joint venture, building your first business website, business financing, navigating and bidding with the Defense Logistics Agency, developing a subcontracting strategy, and the veteran business/legislative landscape.
You will hear from senior federal executives, professional business trainers, finance specialists and elected officials, all of whom are dedicated to helping veteran businesses grow and succeed.
We have helped thousands of veteran business owners over the past six years and still work with many of the same businesses today. Our clients and conference participants have won contracts, increased their business revenue, and developed new income streams through these programs - and all at no cost to them.
