Veterans Day observances in Washington

The nation’s capital will host a number of ceremonies to mark Veterans Day, with an American Legion presence at several.

Midwest Region National Vice Commander David Voyles and his wife, Tulla, will attend a breakfast reception at the White House, then head to Arlington National Cemetery – along with staff members from the Legion’s Washington office – to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns at around 11 a.m. Washington time.

From there, the Legion delegation will go to the Wall for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Ceremony, starting at 1 p.m.
