Question:

My wife has a retirement account and a CMA account that has quarterly maintenance fees instituted this year. We need to find a local reputable financial planner for advice. – Steven

Answer:

It sounds like your wife’s CMA account is just a non-retirement brokerage account. If she’s working with a full-service broker, it’s likely there could be a host of fees or charges. We don’t toot our own horn too often, but in this case it may make sense to give one of our USAA advisers a call at 800-531-3392 and let them help you develop a plan that makes sense in the context of your financial situation and goals and to reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.
