United States Lines, in honor of the Legion's support of a strong Merchant Marine. Christened in February 1968 by the wife of National Commander William Galbraith. Launched at the beginning of the Legion's year-long 50th Birthday celebration. Plaque reads: American Legion Built by Sun Shipbuilding
