There are now over 500,000 casualties with over 150,000 dead (May 2007 GWVIs report, www.va.gov) since we launched the Middle East combat operations during Spring 1990. How many more wounded, injured, ill, and dead will it take before we stop the slaughter over control of oil.

I just watched the news clip about the Flag Folding Fury at Funerals. This is a sensitive issue for me. Arde you aware that not only is this a funeral issue, it is an issue for all ceremonies-at least in the Air Force? A question was raised to SECAF about the 13 flag fold script being read at retirement ceremonies. The end result was that one little complaint stripped the rest of us from our right to have God mentioned at times that we are most thankful of his works. Why do athiests get what they want and us Christians have to conform to them? Christians do no harm by praying and talking about God. This country was founded on Christianity. Christian values are strong, they are good and they will prevail. I am disgusted that people don't stand up for simple values, especially people that are in a position to write laws that I have to abide by. It does no harm to mention God in any ceremony. It's time Christians get their way instead of backing down to Athiests. I have received numerous complaints from Active Duty military members who are organizing their own retirement ceremony and find out that they can get a flag folded, but can't have the 13 flag fold script because it mentions God. People retiring after 26 years of active duty service are furious! I can tell you that if I were in their position I would have posters up all over the walls thanking God during my ceremony.

We are overdue to get back on track as to what the majority want, not the minority. And if they don't want God mentioned in their personal life, pertaining to them, they don't have to have it. I am tired of someone telling me what I can or cannot do. That i snot Democracy. It is about time these politicians back us up or we need to vote them out of office. No one is indispensible.

Why can't the Folds that refer to Christians be written to respect the religious or spiritual path of the deceased, therefore eliminating any flap whatsoever. Death and dying whether from combat, combat related or illness,is a personal family issue, not a governmental one. Honor the fallen hero and his or her family, not the special interest groups!
