Legion Legislative Division Director Tim Tetz is attending a House Natural Resources subcommittee hearing today on two bills. One would direct the secretary of the Interior to install a plaque in the national World War II Memorial inscribed with the words that President Franklin D. Roosevelt prayed with the nation on the morning of D-Day, June 6, 1944. The other piece of legislation to be discussed would authorize the Gold Star Mothers National Monument Foundation to establish a national monument in Washington, D.C.
