Staff from the Legislative Division are attending several congressional hearings:
House Veterans' Affairs Committee, Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs – reevaluating the transition from servicemember to veteran.
Senate Veterans Affairs Committee – nomination of judges to the U.S. Court of Appeals on Veterans Claims.
Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense – Defense health programs.
Senate Foreign Relations Committee – U.S. policy on Iran
House Veterans' Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity – mark-up of pending legislation.
Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Personnel – review of active-duty, reserve, National Guard and civilian personnel programs for FY 2013 and future years.
