Assembling packages of coats and footwear for homeless veterans

The American Legion National Headquarters in Washington, D.C., is assembling packages of coats, boots and shoes donated by its employees for homeless veterans. The outerwear will be given to veterans at the Southeast Veterans Service Center in Washington, while the footwear will be presented during the annual Winterhaven Homeless Stand Down at Washington’s VA medical center in January.
