Meeting with Student Veterans of America reps to discuss tuition issues

Economic Division staff is meeting with Michael Dakduk, executive director of Student Veterans of America (SVA), to discuss issues surrounding veteran in-state tuition trend that has occurred around the country. This discussion will involve identifying states who do not waive in-state tuition for veterans (i.e.: lack of state legislation, state policy, and/or Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) policy); solutions (i.e.: state initiatives, introduction of state or federal legislation, working with IHL); and how can The American Legion and SVA work together to combat this issue.
