Meeting with representatives from the Department of Labor

Representatives from the Department of Labor – including Keith Kelly, Assistant Secretary of the Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) – are at the Legion’s D.C. office to discuss the SKILLS Act. The legislation, if enacted, would replace most workforce programs with a single Workforce Investment Fund to serve adults, dislocated workers, youth, veterans, migrant and seasonal farm workers, and others, to be allotted by formula to states.
