Preparing to present $30,000 worth of Operation Comfort Warrior gifts to the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M.

Department of New Mexico Legion Family members and American Legion Riders are joining American Legion National Headquarters staff members for an Operation Comfort Warriors shopping trip to purchase electronics and personal hygiene items for patients of the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M. The facility is receiving aquatic therapy equipment, an underwater tread cycle, and the spinal cord injury unit is also receiving an Americans with Disabilities Act compliant pool table. The Legion Family members will also deliver donations for a "clothes closet" at Henderson House, a shelter for homeless women veterans and their children.
