Sarcoidosis needs to be added to the list conditions eligible for presumptive disability. I am not good with words, but I was a damn good crew chief on a huey 1966-1967 for the 170th Assault Helicopter Company Bikini/Buccaneer. I finished my active duty in 1969, but in 1972 came down with Sarcoidosis as finally diagnosed at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston Mass. Over the years I have battled this ailment over and over again. I don't drink or smoke nor do drugs so WHY.... I know why it is because of all the agent Orange sprayed every place I landed and took off from. My Lungs are covered with scars from the sarcoid lesions. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and graduly it is moving into my hands. There is much much more; 3 times I have applied for assistance and 3 times denied. My doctor bills and medicine costs rise, what am I to do? Well I will tell you, see fewer doctors and take less of the needed medications. This is all I can do. dmack821@aol.com
