The Legion's Washington office is hosting a meeting of the 200-member VET-Force (Veterans Entrepreneurship Task Force) organization. VET-Force, founded in 1998, promotes small business opportunities for military veterans, particularly disabled veterans, and advocates on their behalf on Capitol Hill.

National Headquarters staff is attending the annual American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. An American Legion Baseball information booth is being staffed by several American Legion Baseball coaches and department Baseball chairmen who also are attending the meeting.
The American Legion's Family Support Network continues to provide the families of mobilized service personnel assistance when support is needed for a variety of everyday chores. These tasks may include assistance with grocery shopping, child care, mowing the grass, fixing the family car and other routine household jobs. Representatives from The American Legion delivered Christmas baskets filled with turkeys and other items, along with winter clothing and an assortment of toys, to homeless veterans at the Southeast Veterans Service Center in Washington, D.C.

Short and Department of Indiana Adjutant Steve Short will present the U.S. flag to Biddle's family.
