Freddy Gessner, assistant director of the National Security/Foreign Relations Division, is participating in a discussion with key members of the Department of State and USAID on the impact of the recently released fiscal 2012 budget proposal.
Americanism staff is sending out packets that contain materials for American Legion Boys State directors to acknowledge the Samsung American Legion Scholarship finalist that will be selected from each of their programs this spring. Each packet contains an award plaque and certificate for presentation to each finalist, and public relations materials.

Task force teams travel nationwide throughout the year to help assure VA medical facilities offer the best care possible for military veterans.

The two-day event is dedicated to veterans who wish to continue their national service by running for political office. Speakers include several Congressmen who are military veterans, prominent military press representatives and Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, an Iraq War veteran and son of Vice President Joe Biden.
