System Worth Saving Task Force visiting Cleveland VAMC

Members of the Legion’s System Worth Saving Task Force are visiting the VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, today and tomorrow. Task force members will interview administrators and inspect the facilities as part of a year-long fact-finding tour of VA medical facilities nationwide.

The Legion’s Legislative Division in Washington is preparing its agenda for the newly convened 112th Congress. The House Veterans Affairs Committee, under incoming chairman Rep. Jeff Miller, R-Fla., has scheduled its first meeting next Wednesday; several Legion Legislative staffers will attend.

Mailing out American Legion Baseball catalog

American Legion Emblem Sales is mailing its 2011 American Legion Baseball catalog to 4,500 members of The American Legion family. Individuals who placed a Baseball-related order with Emblem Sales in 2010 will receive a catalog, as well as all team business managers from 2010. Catalogs will arrive in mailboxes during the next two weeks. Baseball items may also be purchased online at http://emblem.legion.org/Baseball/departments/346/.
