National Headquarters staff is attending the annual American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. An American Legion Baseball information booth is being staffed by several American Legion Baseball coaches and department Baseball chairmen who also are attending the meeting.

These tasks may include assistance with grocery shopping, child care, mowing the grass, fixing the family car and other routine household jobs. Representatives from The American Legion delivered Christmas baskets filled with turkeys and other items, along with winter clothing and an assortment of toys, to homeless veterans at the Southeast Veterans Service Center in Washington, D.C.
Americanism/Children & Youth Division Assistant Director Colin Short will deliver the invocation and benediction this evening at a memorial service for Melvin Biddle, Indiana’s last remaining World War II Medal of Honor recipient. Short and Department of Indiana Adjutant Steve Short will present the U.S. flag to Biddle's family.
National staff from The American Legion’s Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation Division is evaluating the quality of veterans health care at the VA medical center in Asheville, N.C. The site visit is part of the Legion’s ongoing System Worth Saving program.
The working group undertaking development of an online American Legion Youth Programs Alumni Association is conducting its second meeting to review tasks and a proposed design of a website where current and former youth program participants may come together to share discussions.
