The American Legion Economic Division is being represented at the the 35th National Association of Veteran Program Administrators (NAVPA) Conference in Las Vegas. The NAVPA is an organization of individuals and institutions that actively find ways to improve collegiate veterans affairs programs and the delivery of benefits to student veterans.
The American Legion’s Quality Review Team is visiting the Veterans Benefits Administration Office in Roanoke, Va., to assess the quality of decision-making in a sample of recently adjudicated claims in which the Legion holds power of attorney.
The American Legion is preparing a presentation and list of Legion concerns for the National Association of Veterans Program Administrators. NAVPA is an organization of institutions and individuals who are involved or interested in the operation of veterans affairs programs and/or the delivery of services to veterans as school certifying officials across the country.
Over the next week, Legionnaires will converge on Indianapolis for the 2010 Fall Meetings. Commission and committee meetings will take place, while the National Executive Committee will meet Wednesday and Thursday.
