The Legion is urging the Obama administration to reopen negotiations with North Korea with regard to its POW/MIA accounting procedures. Cooperative talks between the U.S. and North Korea on this issue were suspended in May, 2005.

Denise Williams, assistant director for Health Policy is attending the Department of Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee on the Readjustment of Veterans. The purpose of the committee is to review the post-war readjustment needs of combat veterans and evaluate the availability and effectiveness of VA programs to meet these needs.
A Legion “System Worth Saving” task force is visiting the Department of Veterans Affairs' Salt Lake City Health Care System this week. The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System maintains 11 health-care clinics in Utah and neighboring Nevada and Idaho.
