About the author:

I am originally from Chicago, Illinois. I joined the Air Force in 1982 and served a total of 21 years in the military; 10 active duty and 11 in the reserves, retiring in 2006. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy and a Master’s degree in Health Administration. I am a licensed physical therapist. I worked in this capacity in the Veterans Administration (VA) Health Care System for 15 years. I have a combined experience of 30 years as a military member, disabled veteran and federal employee of the VA health care system. The experience I acquired while working in the VA Health Care System as a licensed physical therapist, as well as personal and professional involvement in the VA disability claims process, afforded me the additional knowledge and ability needed to write this book. I wrote the book with the specific purpose of providing a guide for military members and veterans in the pursuit of their much deserved VA service-connected disability benefits. The Disabled American Veteran was written with a two-fold purpose or dual objective if you will. It primarily serves as a reference and training guide for military members and veterans when applying for their disability benefits. Secondly, it is an expose of the true Veterans Administration and how the system is quite often abused. I present a candid depiction of veterans and the VA system. The book is also a tribute to honest and honorable American military members and veterans. No other book on the market combines a comprehensive VA disability benefits guide as well as an in-depth portrayal of two very unique populations; the Veteran and Veterans Administration. I am a married father of four beautiful daughters, one being born just this past month. I strongly believe that this book will be an enormous benefit to military members and veterans when applying for service-connected disability benefits. I am a devoted Christian and I give God the glory for any favorable outcomes the book may provide to military members and veterans.
