I can fully understand not allowing new statues or removing ones in highly diverse areas, but when they are on mountain tops or out in the dessert where only people who have grown up with them there see them, why do the anti-religious insist on taking them down?
I was not aware until 2 & 1/2 years ago; that my Maternal G-Great Grandfather, and his four brothers had fought in the U.S. Civil War!!! That was the "Shock"; now for the "AWE", I just found out within the last year that both of my Maternal 4th Great Grandfathers fought in the American Revolutionary War/U.S. War of Independence!!!
Since I was a U.S. Army Infantryman from 1984-92; this seems like a WOW factor X 10!!! I have a copy of a document from the Library of Va. that shows the proof of my G-Great Grandfather; John Edward Jackson, and his 4 brothers that served in the U.S. Civil War!!!
Through Ancestry.Com; and other Websites I have found that I have 24 Ancestors both Paternal and Maternal that served in the Civil War!!! I also found that another branch of my Maternal side of the family had 3 soldiers in the War of 1812, and 1 in the Mexican-American War 1847-48!!!
Is there any way that I may forward the Civil War document of the 5 Jackson brothers???!!!
