Let’s Not Forget Our Veterans

THERE ARE SOLDIERS AND SAILORS,
MARINES AND AIRMEN TOO
WHO SHARE THE BED AT ARLINGTON
CAUSE THEY DID NOT MAKE IT THROUGH
AND THERE ARE THOSE WHO ARE STILL ALIVE
IN THE FOUR CORNERS OF OUR LAND
WHO CAME BACK WITH LESS THAN THEY TOOK
AND THEY NEED A HELPING HAND

WHO PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE
AND THO' SOME ARE STILL ALIVE,
THEIR BODIES PAIN FROM TIME TO TIME

MEMORIAL AND VETERANS DAY
SHOW THEM WE APPRECIATE
THE PRICE THEY HAD TO PAY

FOR THE LAND THAT WE LIVE IN
AND PRAY THAT WE WILL NEVER
NEED THEM TO FIGHT AGAIN
