Eight baseball teams advance to 90th ALWS

Eight American Legion Baseball teams won their respective divisions' regional tournaments and are advancing to the 90th American Legion World Series in Shelby, N.C., Aug. 11-16. The 2016 ALWS teams are:

Mid-Atlantic Region – Leesburg Post 34 of Virginia

Southeast Region – Rowan County Post 342 of North Carolina

Mid-South Region – Texarkana Post 58 of Arkansas

Great Lakes Region – Rockport Post 254 of Indiana

Central Plains Region – Omaha Post 1 of Nebraska

Northwest Region – Kennewick Post 34 of Washington

Western Region – San Mateo Post 82 of California

Northeast Region – Cumberland Post 86/14 of Rhode Island

ESPN3.com will live stream the first nine games of "pool play" – Aug. 11-13. And ESPNU will televise games starting Sunday, Aug. 14, which includes both semifinal games on Monday, Aug. 15, and the championship game on Tuesday, Aug. 16. Follow all the action here.
