St George Post 90 American Legion will be hosting its annual Summer Classic baseball tournament June 21-23, 2017. There will be a four- game guarantee, with championship game and awards given Saturday night. Four teams will kick off play on Wednesday evening, June 20th, with the remainder starting play on Thursday, June 21st. The fee is $575 per team, plus box of baseballs. Checks shall be payable to St George Legion Baseball and can be sent to PO Box 910332, St George, UT 84791. The tournament will be pool play. It is expected that we will have teams from 5 to 6 different states again this year. Games will be played at Dixie State College’s Bruce Hurst Field, touted as one of the best playing surfaces in the country, as well as southern Utah high school fields. An All-Tournament team will be selected, as well as Top Hitter and Pitcher for the tournament. The Tournament will be a 12 to 16 team pool play tournament. All games will be played in the morning or evenings, with enough quality fields to keep games out of the middle-of-the-day heat. Please register early to secure a spot.
