You are invited to participate in one of the oldest wood bat American Legion Tourney in America. This year’s field of American Legion Baseball will include many teams from around the New England and greater Northeast and often including Canada. The competition is outstanding, and many college coaches are invited and benefitted (as well as the players) from their scouting at the Gubby. The tourney will be held at Keene’s Alumni Field on 77 Arch Street Keene, NH from Friday, June 29, 2018 - Sunday, July 1, 2018. Last year’s teams included: Doylestown, Pa. Post 210, Haverhill, Ma. Post 4, West Warwick, RI. Post 2, Montreal, Canada (last year’s championship team) Danielson, Ct. Post 21, Concord, NH Post 21, Green Mt. Post 1 and host Keene Post 4. This is an American Legion tournament only. We will be using round robin format and two four team divisions. All teams will be using wood bats this year and you must supply your own. Weather permitting - everyone will play 4 games, with division winners playing championship, consolation games between 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place teams. Schedule will be set on a first asked first served for late scheduling considerations on Friday. Fee: $600 plus 1 dozen Diamond Legion or Diamond D1 baseballs. Team option to use Extra Hitter (bat 10 and batting order NEVER changes) 2. Teams can DH for Any player. 3. Free substitution, again batting order does not change 4. Seven Inning games – however no new inning after 2:15 hours 5. 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie. 10 run rule in effect after five innings. 6. Most runs any team will be charged with is 10. 7. NOTE: Substitutes can NEVER re-enter, only starters. Tie Breakers (1) Head to Head (2) If three or more teams are tied: Least runs allowed, eliminate teams until down to final 2 teams, and then REVERTS back to the first tie breaker.
