A look at February's job fairs

Here’s a look at some of the career events scheduled in February for servicemembers, veterans and military spouses:

Feb. 6-7: Fort Bragg Military Spouse Hiring Event.

Wednesday: 6-8 p.m., networking reception.
Thursday: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., hiring fair.
This event is free and is open to all military spouses (active duty, veteran, reserve, Guard, and/or Gold Star) as well as military spouse-ready employers and service organizations. Servicemembers and veterans are also welcome.

Feb. 13-14: Joint Base Lewis McChord Military Spouse Hiring Event.

Wednesday: 7-9 p.m., networking reception.
Thursday: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., hiring fair.
This event is free and is open to all military spouses (active duty, veteran, reserve, Guard, and/or Gold Star) as well as military spouse-ready employers and service organizations. Servicemembers and veterans are also welcome.
American Lakes Conference Center, 8085 NCO Beach Road, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Wash.

Feb. 21: Tampa Hiring Expo with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

9:30-11 a.m., career connections workshop.
11 a.m.-2 p.m., hiring fair, mock interviews and resume review.
This event is free and is open to active duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.
All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Buffalo Sabres.

Feb. 21: Fort Belvoir-Springfield Job Fair.

10 a.m.-noon, reserved for candidates who have active security clearance/military & veterans (active, retired, reservists, National Guard, wounded warriors-discharged & caregivers and family members).
Noon-2 p.m., open to all job seekers.

Feb. 21-22: USS Midway Career Summit.

Thursday: 9 a.m.-noon, dress to impress seminar.
Thursday: 6-8 p.m., networking reception.
Friday: 8-8:30 a.m., registration.
Friday: 8:30-8:45 a.m., welcome and event kickoff.
Friday: 8:45-10:45 a.m., career planning workshops.
Friday: 10:45-11:30 a.m., interactive panel discussion: perspectives on transition.
Friday: 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m., lunch and learn.
Friday: 1-2 p.m., mock interviews, resume review, LinkedIn profile coaching and free professional profile photos.
Friday: 1-4 p.m., hiring fair.
This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans, and military spouses.

Feb. 22: Washington Military Hiring Fair with The American Legion.

9-10:30 a.m., resume workshop.
10:30-11:30 a.m., financial literacy workshop.
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., networking lunch.
1-4 p.m., hiring fair.
This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.

Feb. 27: Houston Networking Reception.

5-7:30 p.m., networking reception.
This event is free and is open to all student veterans, veterans, transitioning servicemembers, military spouses, guard and reserve as well as military-ready employers and service organizations.

Feb. 28: Houston Hiring Expo with the Houston Rockets.

9:30-11 a.m., career connections workshop.
Noon-3 p.m., hiring fair.
This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.
All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Houston Rockets and the Miami Heat.
