American Legion’s LinkedIn page reaches 30,000 followers

The American Legion’s LinkedIn page picked up its 30,000th follower this week.

The milestone exemplifies the page’s steady growth since a summer 2014 overhaul, when it had about 2,000 followers. The page hit 5,000 followers in early 2015; 10,000 followers in September 2018; and 20,000 followers in October 2020.

“LinkedIn provides an important avenue for The American Legion to communicate its message, especially with transitioning servicemembers looking for career, education, and other resources,” said Media & Communications Commission Chairman David Wallace.

As part of The American Legion’s collection of social media platforms, the LinkedIn page shares a variety of stories of interest to veterans and the Legion Family, as well as job fair information, career advice, and other topics.
