Pray that we can survive Obama and Pelosi for 3 more years. I hope we have the right to call upon God instead of Allah, survive gay marriages, and attempts to weaken our nation's defenses.

No man is so foolish as to desire war, not peace, in peace the children take their parents to the grave, in war is the parents who bring children to the grave.

Don't blame Obama for having to clean up Bush-Cheney mess. Lets let him know that we want swift and SURE justice for the acts of those terrorests. He just might surprise some of HIS "sworn enemies" if given the chance.

Terror suspects at GTMO are there for a reason! They were arrested or captured for acts of terrorism, which is an act of war. Hence the term "Global War on Terrorism". Given this definition, they should be tried by military tribunals and not be tried in a civilian justice system that has several loop-holes. Terrorists do not deserve the same rights as American citizens, as most of them are NOT American citizens. In my eyes, they are guilty until proven innocent beyond a reasonable doubt.

ENEMY COMBATANTS:

Country #1 goes to war with Country #2. Both feel they have legitimate standing, regardless what others might think. Soldiers from either side should be given a certain amount of respect and treated within a defined set of rules (the Geneva Convention).

CRIMINALS

A CRIMINAL, on the other hand, is someone who commits CRIMES. They are not afforded any sort of legitimacy. They are give no respect and are looked at with derision.

Why George Bush decided to call these CRIMINALS enemy combatants, and thereby giving legitimacy to their ideology is beyond me. It was a huge mistake. In one fell swoop he turned this from hunting down vermin into a War of Ideologies, which suited the terrorists to no end.

I don't know why they are there ... they should have had their tribunals ASAP and their dispositions should have been conducted immediately.
