Revitalization effort headed to New Jersey

American Legion national staff will team up with Department of New Jersey Legionnaires next week for district revitalization efforts in Union and Middlesex counties.

The efforts will take place from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 3-5 and be based out of Clark, Inc. American Legion Post 328, 78 Westfield Ave., Clark, N.J.; and Fugle Hummer Post 65, Lake Avenue and Holly Street, Metuchen, N.J.

Legionnaires will be available at both sites to discuss veterans benefits and service to the community. All wartime veterans in these areas are invited to these posts to learn more about The American Legion. A Legion service officer also will be available for all area veterans with claims or other veteran-related questions on Oct. 3 in the Union County location and on Oct. 4 in the Middlesex County location.

The Legion also will have a table at the Middlesex Fair October 5 in Metuchen on Main Street from Route 27 to Station Place.
