About the author:

Nancy MacMillan's memoir took sixteen years to write and is the first book to show the day to day struggles of an ordinary family living with the chaos of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Compelled to write this love story, she wants to honor her husband and the thousands of forgotten warriors who laughed and loved and cried as we do with plans and dreams of their own. In August 2013, she received a letter of commendation for her book from our First Lady, Michelle Obama.
